Last week, the new Adidas SLVR label celebrated its debut at the first of several stand alone stores slated to open around the world, this one between the Adidas Originals and Y-3 stores in Soho. Guests acquainted themselves with the eco-friendly conceptions while sipping ginger vodka cocktails. The design philosophy of creating solutions to reduce complexity is epitomized by the label’s signature “7 piece sneaker,” made of only 7 parts (as opposed to the standard 25). Stop by the 108 Wooster locale to view the basic-yet-stylish soybean fabric and sustainable organic cotton designs.

House Party: Adidas turns 60

Adidas celebrated “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” last Thursday with a champagne and pizza “house party” in anticipation of the iconic brand’s 60th anniversary. Giant make-believe houses, sexy actors, balloons and French girls after the jump. Photos by Nicholas Lorden.
