Stylist Anne-Sophie Thomas and her boyfriend, Nicolas Nerrant, were married last month in the south of France. Eric Pillault, the art director of Jalouse, is also, secretly, a talented photographer, and he took these beautiful pictures. I love the contrast between the relaxed atmosphere of the French countryside and the formality of a wedding – the simple headband in the bride’s hair, the insouciance of a pack of Lucky Strikes tucked into the pocket of a guest’s suit jacket, the dog sleeping in the dust next to the walls of the chateau. And I love how the black and white Polaroids give it all such a timeless quality. And, of course, what a lovely bride…
