As you may know, the annual Salone del Mobile in Milan has recently concluded. While always offering a certain degree of inspiration, the main furniture exhibition in the Fiera Pavillion was a bit stayed. For the original and inspirational, it was all about the Fuori Salone displays in the Navigli district, the canal-ridden area that is the heart and soul of Milan’s nightlife. Here, among a knotty, tangled array of alleys and courtyards, young artists spruced up their studios to entertain the endless flow of visitors.
