Nestled among its renowned row of tailors, Savile Row’s avant-garde boutique B Store is currently playing host to a retrospective of Studio Thomson, the design and art direction studio formed in 2004 by siblings Christopher and Mark Thomson.

The exhibition is part of the studio’s fifth birthday celebration and showcases work produced for their fantastically diverse roster of clients, all of which is marked by a signature confidence of vision and authority. From their campaign work for Duffer of St. George and denim specialists Wrangler to the CADS music vision awards campaign, Studio Thomson prides itself on a “timeless with a twist approach” valuing classic ideas and attention to detail. As a result, in its short half decade of existence, the company has collected commissions from the realms of fashion, music, retail, publishing, art and interiors, including Liberty of London, Preen, Aquascutum and Pringle.

Part of the brother’s unique vision is a focus on the tactile: a golf ball embossed slipcase, a card punched with metal….Their work for the Millennium Gallery, however, is the most delightfully sensory product on display. A pocket-sized book with a wood effect, it showcases the work of over 300 hundred photographers. But this retrospective is not only about observation and appreciation, visitors can also take home a souvenir notebook available in 40 colors or postcards, exhibiting their most celebrated campaign images. Open now through December 12.
