Daniel Nagels doesn’t just produce jewelry, he creates “powerful, magic charms which can hypnotize the mind” and which explore in-depth the occult, religion, conspiracy and ritual. Perhaps this isn’t surprising considering, when not on tour in Europe or Asia with band So So Modern, he lives in the forests on the South Coast of New Zealand. But actually, it was through manufacturing band merchandise that he came into jewelry making, originally fashioning “cultish laser-cut pieces”.

Mr Nagels now isn’t exactly making bagels, however he is casting other snacks—chips, pretzels, popcorn—in silver. He claims they catch “the hungry eyes”. Tasty. In the future from the musical designer, we can expect jewelry that embodies and represents different dimensions, prisms, time travel, alien reptilians and angel spirits in geometric formations.
