Under the direction of Paul Helbers, Louis Vuitton infused its S/S11 collection with the brand’s signature globetrotter DNA. Transcontinental influences mixed with jungle camouflage and Chinese quilting debuted alongside army-like parachute fabric in classic patterns and a print from New York tattoo artist Scott Campbell. It was all about Asian influences and silk: damask or ultra lightweight combined with knits and techno-fabrics. Overall the collection was fresh and inspired travel to exotic destinations—with a trunk full of Helbers creations.
