It seemed somehow appropriate that Mr. Armani selected the Lady Gaga single Alejandro for his S/S11 show finale. Despite espousing an Italian elegance from his Via Borgognone headquarters, Armani is eternally contemporary. The designer even took his homage to Gaga’s beloved Alejandro to another level, recalling the singer’s furious make-up on Latin models wearing lots of black leather.
