Damir Doma reached an impressive level of fashion hype this season—as evidenced by the huge, desperate-to-get-in crowd of cool kids and fashionistas at the door.

The show itself was pure Damir Doma, with oversized draped coats worn over the designer’s signature layered silhouettes. The presence of a stylist’s touch was strong, and those familiar with ENCENS magazine recognized Samuel Drira’s handiwork in the (sometimes slightly over-the-top) layering and round metal-and-wood Harry Potter-esque glasses. To keep the buzz level high, the designer showed a couple of looks from his forthcoming womenswear debut—surely a response to requests from the many females around the world who are trying and buying his menswear.
