I was taking notes in front of mannequins draped in Hexa by Kuho at the New York Public Library Friday night when two Korean men in suits approached me, also with little notebooks, and began to question me about the event.
“Did you know that this was organized by the Korean government?” they asked me.
No, I didn’t. I wrote that down. They wrote that down, too, and continued to take notes on their line of questioning as I did the same. Soon a spotlight bathed us in white light and a TV camera filmed it all.
Later in the library’s foyer, Doii Lee told me the Russian fairy tale that inspired her sparkly season, Diane Von Furstenberg thanked everyone for coming and then left the stage to Korean pop-star Rain, who performed the song-and-dance number (above) that has kept us smiling through the weekend.
