It was back to the fundamentals at Chanel:
-Garments were mainly black and white (with an interlude of jade green and pale pink).
-Delicate chiffon camellias decorated sleeves or poked out from underneath cuffs.
-Collars were elegantly pleated and ruffled in the manner of classic Chanel blouses, which gave the fitted black silhouettes a touch of airiness.
What really impressed, however, was the jade and onyx Art Deco-style jewelry peppering each look. Whether it was the fitted bracelets encircling fingers instead of wrists or the jade circles on heels, Lagerfeld gave classic pieces his signature twist.
