I have wanted to work on a project that visually conveys the feeling of love, coupling it with a fashion sensibility and elements of art. Further, I have been obsessed with the concept of Japanese hourly “love hotels” for some time now.  In Japan, most young people live with their families until marriage. The subculture of “love hotels,” has thus arisen from couples’ need for private rendezvous. How does one explain the indescribable feeling of love? I will start with the warmth that fills my body, a feeling so warm in my heart that it spills out and radiates into the night. When I wait for my lover, minutes turn to hours. When we are finally  together, time stops and I savor every second, wanting it to last just a little longer… —Yana Toyber
