This week’s New Yorker features an article on the Dickman brothers, Matthew and Michael. The Portland, Oregon natives are twin poets with different styles that draw from the same shared experience. Plus, they’re cute. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) We were lucky enough to have Matthew contribute to Issue No. 2 and do a special Dossier reading event for us from his book, All American Poem. Michael’s equally amazing book is The End of The West. You should order them both. My guess is that we might be seeing more of these fellas around. Chin Chin.
Some random facts- If you google: “Portland Twins” the Dickman bros come up first. According to a recent study, vegan mothers are five times less likely to have twins than those who eat animal products. That means no twin poets for me.
