These images are from Elin O’hara Slavick‘s drawing series from 1998-2005, Protesting Cartography or Places the United States has Bombed. More information and drawings can be found on the project’s website. The drawings were compiled into a book Bomb after Bomb: A Violent Cartography, which was released by Charta in 2007 and contains essays by a historian, anthropologist and art theorist.
