Cory Arcangel’s Atonal Cats

Recently artist Cory Arcangel recreated Arnold Schoenberg’s 1909 op. 11 Drei Klavierstücke (Three Piano Pieces) as a mash up of Youtube videos where cats play pianos. The first of these can be seen above and the other two on Arcangel’s website. Arcangel used Glenn Gould’s performance of the piece for comparison.

Alex McLeod is a Toronto-based artist who uses generated 3-d software to create what he calls “virtual installations.” He currently has a show with Michael de Feo at Angell Gallery in Toronto.

The publication Trace a Face is the result of a collaboration between the Swedish design duo Konst & Teknik and Amsterdam-based graphic designer Jonathan Puckey.
