YSL Retrospective at the Petit Palais

March 11 the Petit Palais at the Musee des Beaux Arts in Paris will open its retrospective of the great fashion designer’s work. In collaboration with the Pierre Bergé-YSL Fondation–and its patroness, French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy whose dove dress is included in the collection–the museum with display highlights from 40 years of YSL’s couture and prêt-à-porter collections including his early work at Christian Dior. The “trapeze” is there as well as the tuxedo for women and all the rest of the classics from maybe the 20th century’s greatest design mind.
