So the film- based on the book, based on the movement, based around the gallery- comes out this weekend at IFC.

Beautiful Losers is a documentary based around the DIY and street art movement in New York in the early to mid 90’s, that was shaped and supported by Aaron Rose and his Alleged Gallery. Luminaries and graduates from that movement include: Ed Templeton, Chris Johanson, Jo Jackson, Barry McGee, Shepard Fairey, and Mike Mills. Those nobodies became names.
