Dossier Issue 2

The second issue of Dossier, your favorite fashion/literature/art journal, is now available on newsstands in the US, hitting Europe and beyond shortly. Of course, you can always order here to receive a copy in the comfort of your own home (it’s called a subscription, but if you like, you can call it magic).

Some highlights from Issue 2: Zac Posen directed actress Paz de la Huerta in an homage to Yves Saint Laurent. Photographer Todd Cole shot New York’s sexiest jewelry designer, Pamela Love, in the best menswear of the season. There’s a short story from National Book Award-finalist Jennifer Egan; photography from Stephen Shore and Francesca Woodman; poetry from award-winners Matthew Dickman and Tom Sleigh. What else? Interviews with nutrition genius Michael Pollan and former Black Panther Emory Douglas; Mario Batali’s favorite autumn recipe; and a hilarious contribution from Jonathan Ames. We’re not trying to brag, but it’s pretty good.

On the web, Dossier has a lot going on as well. LOOK is being assembled by a different curator each month, most recently Meagan Ziegler-Haynes and Tony Cederteg. READ currently features a contest that draws its inspiration from a photograph by Tim Barber. EDITIONS is offering individually-designed tote bags by different artists from all over the world, along with limited-edition prints.

We’re planning some events for the fall, a reading here, a party there. We’ll keep you posted and hope to see you soon.

Love,

Everyone at Dossier
