PANic at the Hotels

Our friend, Anh Do, the musician, gallery curator, DJ, and blogger, recently started PANic along with her friends, Niki Roberton and Paul Tao, of Iamsound. Pooling from their collective resources, PANic is a full-service production and promotions agency that specializes in art, fashion, and music programming, not to mention brand and band management. One of the bands on their management roster is the dreamy Los Angeles girl duo, Puro Instinct, with an album coming out on Mexican Summer on February 22.

With all of their music connections, it’s not surprising that for their first project the trio started Sessions, a series of intimate concerts currently held at both the Mondrian hotel in Los Angeles and the Clift in San Francisco. These shows are free to the public with RSVP, and have quickly become the go-to events for great, live music in California. I can’t think of anything better than being up-close and personal with great bands. Maybe being poolside at the Mondrian while doing so… Check!

If you’re in the Los Angeles area, don’t miss your chance- the next show is this Thursday, February 17, with the Dum Dum Girls. Check the flyer for other dates, too.

Ever the music fan, here’s to hoping they branch out to the East Coast soon!
