The Seaport Music Festival‘s bevy of shows this summer has showcased the likes of Wire, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, No Age and Atlas Sound. As great as those bands are — and they are all fantastic — none of this summer’s shows is as exciting as tomorrow’s Dirty Projectors show. When I say that I think that Dirty Projectors are the best band currently making music I say it without even a hint of irony or reservation; they are seriously good and everybody should make it their business to be there tomorrow to see what the enormously talented Dave Longstreth can do with what is easily the most talented lineup he has ever had at his disposal. Keep in mind that this is the band that had Ed Droste asking, “Why are you so amazing?!” And the fact that the show is completely free is only icing on a very, very delicious cake.
The show starts at 8 pm and White Williams is opening.
