While indulging in one of my random-hyperlink-clicking sessions this morning, I came across this videoclip of the Red Army Choir performing The Song of the Volga Boatmen. Since I own one album of the Choir performing in Paris in 1968, and house a childish fascination of Slav pop culture and aesthetics, my interest quickly turned to the blog on which I found the video.
Chirayliq is written by “Finnish Gypsy” (their own label) sisters Tinet and Ainur, and is dedicated to the “handsomeness of Central Asian men.” Aesthetics aside, it is filled with fascinating short stories and biographies of more or less famous men “from the Black Sea to Kamchatka, from the Kara Sea to Himalaya” of whom you probably know absolutely nothing but will inevitably want to know much more. Highly recommended.

Wow. They also operate I Like Hairy Guys (http://luddigt.kommiekomiks.com/) and a blog of Jet Li film reviews (http://fangirltinet.blogspot.com/).
